The sire of this auction foal is none other than Contendro I. The least we can say about Contendro I is that he is a versatile progenitor. He occupies 42nd place in the most recent ‘WBFSH sire ranking showjumping’ and the 5th place in the ‘WBFSH sire ranking eventing’. He produced an impressive list of outstanding international showjumpers, amongst them GP Aachen winner Codex One, Cold Play (including team silver at the WEG in Tryon), Cinsey (5th in the 5* Berlin GP) and Contendros 2 (4th in the 5* Wellington GP). In the eventing world he owes his brilliant 5th place to performers such as Fischerchipmunk FRH, FRH Corrida, C’Est La Vie and Choclat.
Lilly Obolensky V/H Ruitjesbos, the dam of Wangari Lilly O’, is by Cornet’s Prinz, a stallion with whom Guido Klatte Jr. in 2012 became 19th in the final of the WC for 7-year-olds and afterwards was successful in the 1m45 to 1m50 circuit. Lilly Obolensky has jumped at regional 1m25 GP level and has been performing in national eventing B classes since last year. She has the mentality to always jump across the fence. In addition, she has a lot of power and the potential for bigger classes. Her dam, Isaura, passed away prematurely.
Wangari Lilly O’ received high scores for ‘type and correctness’ (31/40), ‘movements’ (31/40) and ‘appearance’ (15/20) at the last national championship BWP Elite foals. Wangari Lilly O’ ended 5th at the Foal Championship in Moerbeke-Waas. Wangari is a chic type with a lot of charisma and a good top line. The trot and canter are big and carrying.
