Vittorio SL’s sire is the five-year-old rising star Quiona v/h Lemmenshof, ridden by David Simpson. He is in turn a son of the Olympic stallion and top progenitor Emerald van ’t Ruytershof. J-Lo v/h Lemmenshof, Quiona’s dam, is the result of crossing two horses from the 1m60 circuit, namely the late Kashmir van Schuttershof and the mare Fiona v/h Lemmenshof. Fiona, gifted with a top winning mentality, collected an impressive list of top ten places during 2* to 5* competitions.
Via his dam, Femme Fatale van Orshof, Vittorio SL is a half-brother to Laurien van Orshof who competes at international 1m50 to 1m60 level, under the saddle of the Swedish Linda Heed. Femme Fatale is also a full sister to Gillian van Orshof, who achieved several top ten places in World Cup classes at 1m60 level. Other top showjumpers such as the World Cup horse Wodan (1m60 level) and Geisha van Orshof (5*, 1m60 level, Lorenzo de Luca) also belong to this breeding family.
