Viking van de Heemstede is a colt with a modern correct type and expression. He shows a light-footed trot with much suppleness and a light-footed canter.
The sire of this colt, the four-year-old Conthalou, was crowned showjumping champion at the Oldenburg International approval in 2019. He then completed his 50-day performance test in Adelheidsdorf where he achieved high scores for jumping manners, scope, willingness to work, rideability, temperament and overall impression. He was declared 2nd reserve champion. His sire is none other than the very popular progenitor Conthargos.
Viking’s dam, Granate, is a daughter of the coveted Casall son Cascadello I. Granate belongs to the Holstein lineage 776. Her dam jumped at S level in Germany. Granate’s granddam, Harmonie D, is the dam of the approved stallion Contendus and the great-granddam of the approved stallion Danny Boy de Flobecq who performed at international 1m40 level.
