Undercover de Walput has everything to make it happen later in the showjumping scene. His sire, By Cera d’Ick, is a genetic gem: Stakkato x the legendary Fein Cera (including team gold at the Olympic Games in Athens and individual bronze at the WEG in Jerez de la Frontera). A serious accident at a young age prevented By Cera d’Ick’s sports career. He does make a career as a breeding stallion: from his first vintage (°2015) Perseus de Muze was approved as a breeding stallion and a series of descendants jumps at 1m40 to 1m45 level. His offspring jump with a good technique, a lot of scope and caution.
Undercover is also interestingly bred on the dam’s side. His dam is by the BWP elite stallion Elvis ter Putte, 29th in the WBFSH sire ranking. Chanteric Peu DM, Undercover’s granddam, performs at 1m40 level and produced the AES approved stallion Sambuca van ‘t Damhof. Her dam, Wilkena van ’t Achterhof, completes the picture. She is known as the dam of several international showjumpers, amongst them Caesar D M (5*, 1m60 level, Andre Thieme), Gracchus DM (1m55 level) and Carit DM. Wilkena can present some more letters of nobility. Her Toulon son DM Jan Zonder Vrees was approved as a breeding stallion at AES and her Hardrock Z son is selected for the 3rd phase of the BWP stallion approval this year.
