Oscar The Homage, the sire of Thor van de Dommelvallei, was approved by the BWP as a breeding stallion and sold during the BWP Top Stallion Auction at € 57,000. Oscar has a top attitude and shows a lot of scope, good foreleg technique and good use of the shoulder. At the age of four he became ex aequo winner of the stallion competition, under the saddle of his regular rider Brecht Bille. Oscar often jumps clear. Also this year, the 8-year-old stallion almost always jumped faultless during international competitions for young horses.
Thor’s dam line has a good dose of performance blood, even Olympic blood! His dam, Noélle of the Lowlands (by Cascavelle) is the granddam of Abelone O.T. Lowlands (5*, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and this year successful in the 4* circuit, in partnership with Clara Hallundbaek) and Noella of the Lowlands (1m40 to 1m45 level). Thor’s granddam, Freika, is a daughter of the Holstein progenitor Lord and, through several daughters, is the granddam of the international showjumpers Cantano (5*, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum), Cerano (performed at 5* level, in partnership with Mathilda Karlsson and Tobias Meyer), the Olympiad horse Amsterdam (Teddy Vlock and formerly Mario Deslauriers) and the international GP horse Quacord.
