PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
There is much to tell about Tequilano VH Maarlo’s sire, Quint VH Maarlo (°2010, BWP dam line 30.2). In 2017, people were talking about him during the BWP stallion selection. He then made a very positive impression with his 1st BWP registered vintage (°2014: 10 colts and 2 fillies). Four of these 10 male offspring were presented during the stallion selection and selected to participate in the 3rd day of the 2nd phase, including Oquilano V/H Maarlo (a full brother to Tequilano VH Maarlo, during the BWP Top Stallion Auction sold at € 32.000) and Oscar The Homage (during the BWP Top Stallion Auction sold at € 57.000). In the showjumping world Quint performed well at international 1m45 level, under the saddle of Thieu Huijbregts, a son of H&M All-In breeder Bas Huijbregts. Quint has a top mentality and a lot of sharpness.
Tequilano’s dam, Chi-Mara, was active in LRV until she was 6 years old. She was then used in breeding. With success, it turns out! We already talked about her son Oquilano V/H Maarlo. Oquilano’s full brother, Quilano V/H Maarlo, two years younger, was selected to participate at the 3rd phase during the 2019 BWP stallion approval, which meant that he received the ‘approved’ label and the opportunity to cover 5 mares. On top of that, he was sold during the BWP Top Stallion Auction at € 57.000 to Poland. Chi-Mara’s dam, Oletta, jumped at 1m30 level and obtained the KWPN labels ‘STB Elite’, ‘Prestatie’, ‘Sport-(spr)’ and ‘Prok’. She produced the international performers Aimee (1m60 level, Peter Wylde) and Tiramisu Z (1m50 level, Trapp O’Neal). If you dig even deeper into this Dutch lineage, you will notice that there is a lot of performance anchored in it.
