Top genetics were used to create this embryo: the French progenitor Diamant de Semilly and an interestingly bred mare from a very good Holstein lineage. It is common knowledge that the progenitor Diamant passes on qualities such as scope, suppleness, a strong back, a good canter and a strong character. He himself experienced numerous highlights, such as team gold and individual 9th at the WEG in Jerez de la Frontera (2002) and team silver at the European Championship in Donaueschingen (2003). His successful offspring in the international showjumping scene earned Diamant 3rd place in the WBFSH sire ranking.
MS Cumana, the dam of the embryo, is a half-sister to Cancant (an approved Canturo son with whom Jochen Teufel jumped at international 1m45 level), as well as of Cancun 10 (who was successful for many years under the saddle of Ulrich Kirchhoff and has been competing at 1m40 to 1m50 level in partnership with Agata Orlandi since last year) and Qulano van het Keizershof (who was selected for the performance test during the KWPN stallion inspection in 2019). MS Cumana’s granddam, Julana, is the dam of the approved stallion Hercules van het Keizershof and the great-granddam of Dana Blue (with whom Maikel van der Vleuten won the 5* GP in Oslo, Valkenswaard and Geesteren) and the very successful 5* Grand Prix showjumper Hummer (Daniel Bluman).
