Ascendio Van De Groendreef’s sire, Colorit Z, can present an impressive, extensive list of achievements. Under the saddle of David Will he won, amongst others, the World Cup class in ’s-Hertogenbosch (5*) and the GP of Munich, Hagen and Mannheim. Christian Ahlmann took over the reins in mid-2015, once again with success. This is evidenced by victories in Berlin (5* GCT/GCL, 1m50), Mannheim (GP, 1m60), Paris (5*, 1m60), Braunschweig (GP, 1m55) and Stuttgart (5*, German Master). He passes on scope, size, a good canter, equilibrium and a cooperative character.
Koningskind S Extra, the dam of Ascendio, is by top progenitor Kannan, who occupies fourth place in the WBFSH ranking of the best suppliers of showjumpers worldwide. Through her dam, Wendy III, Koningskind S Extra is part of the Hanoverian lineage Königsaue. This breeding family includes several Landgestüt Celle stallions, such as the well-known brothers Frustra I and II.
