Asante Sana K Van Den Dries was crowned champion foal during the Breeding Day BWP Antwerp. His sire is the BWP approved stallion Touch Of Grey VD Withoeve. In the stallion competition for four-year-olds, this son of Untouchable remained clear in the three heats and the final, which resulted in the ex aequo first place in the final ranking. Rozelien De Beck (studfarm De Withoeve) recently stated in an interview about Touch Of Grey VD Withoeve: “The stallion is easy to ride and is intelligent.” Asante Sana K Van Den Dries is a product from the first vintage of Touch Of Grey.
Through his dam Furianthe Van Het Mangelhof, Asante Sana K Van Den Dries is a half-brother to the AES approved stallion Illuminati Van Den Dries (as a 4-year-old ex aequo champion during the Belgian Championship in Gesves, last year clear in the three heats and the final of the stallion competition for 5-year-olds and this year winner of several international classes for young horses). Furianthe is a half-sister to the international showjumper Italo van ’t Dauwhof. They make part of BWP dam line 121, the lineage to which an impressive series of approved stallions belong, as well as international showjumpers (including Boyfriend du Seigneur, Elvis VD Rhamdiahoeve, Eternity du Seigneur, Feloetsghe VD Rhamdiahoeve, Infinity du Seigneur, Mic Mac du Dieu Demon, Panama du Seigneur, Tic-Tac du Seigneur, Saphir and Axl-Rose).
