PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
The sire of Artist Van De Mereyt is none other than Sunday JM, a 5-year-old Ermitage Kalone son who was honoured as 1st reserve champion during the BWP stallion inspection in 2021. This year, Matthias Hens remained faultless with Sunday JM in heat number two, thre and in the final of the stallion competition. The combination also realized several clear rounds in heats of the cycle in April. A promising clear jumper! Through his dam Unschuld, Sunday is a half-brother to the international showjumping stars Cashpaid and Cordial.
Artist also has performance blood in his veins on his dam’s side. His granddam, Never Action SKB, produced Hilton de Mereyt (in 2014, 7th in the Belgian Championship for 7-year-olds in Gesves and subsequently successful up to and including 1m55 level, Bunoit Moeskops), Jerome V/D Mereyt (who competed at 1m50 level), Nesquick V/D Mereyt (1m35 level) and the 6-year-old Rolls Royce Van De Mereyt, who left the arena with one or even double clear round in almost all competitions he participated in this year.
