PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
As his name suggests, Armitage is by Ermitage Kalone. Under the saddle of Gilles Thomas, Ermitage Kalone is working towards a successful career in top sport. At the age of 8, Ermitage Kalone already made his international five-star debut. This year he performed several times in Vejer de la Frontera (4*, 1m45 to 1m55 level). In almost every showjumping class he participated in, he left the arena with a clear round. As a breeding stallion, he has also given his business card several times. In 2021, for example, his daughter Valkyrie JM became champion at the BWP national Elite foal championship and his son Sunday JM was honoured as 1st reserve champion at the BWP stallion selection. This year his son Ultra Star JM was crowned BWP champion stallion in the option showjumping.
Armitage has also inherited a good dose of performance blood through his dam line. His dam, Milou van de Dorpshoeve, is a daughter of the 5* GP stallion Filou de Muze out of Lloyd (by Luciano). Lloyd had a very fiery temper. Some characteristics of her offspring: a lot of blood, good manners, easy to ride, intelligent and excellent showjumping qualities. Lloyd has an impressive offspring. She produced the international showjumpers Venturo van de Dorpshoeve (1m60 level), Asteria van de Dorpshoeve (who performed outstanding for years at four and five-star level under the saddle of Aniek Poels), Honey van de Dorpshoeve (1m45 level), Igor van de Dorpshoeve (5* level) and Kebab van de Dorpshoeve (1m45 level). Strike the iron while it is hot because Armitage has so much potential that there is good chance that we can add him to the list of international representatives of BWP dam line 89 in seven or eight years.
