PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS

Amika van de Veldstraat has an Olympic horse in her pedigree in both the sire line and the dam line and is a filly! Amika’s sire, Emerald, was successful at the highest level, including victories in Nations Cups, 5* Grands Prix and participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He has not only proven himself in top-class showjumping, but also consistently produces successful showjumpers. Just think of Igor (gold in team and individual bronze at the European Championship in Rotterdam 2019, Jos Verlooy), 5* GP winner Imerald van ’t Voorhof, Kasper van het Hellehof (5*, McLain Ward) and Nice van ’t Zorgvliet (5*, Christian Kukuk). Thanks in part to them and a long list of other great performers, Emerald is in 12th place in the WBFSH sire ranking.

Amika also carries top showjumping blood on her dam’s side. Through her dam, Junifen VD Burkelslag, Amika is a half-sister to Moulon VD Burkelslag (who achieved several top 10 places in international 1m40 to 1m45 classes last year), as well as of the BWP approved stallion Picasso van de Veldstraat. If we dig deeper into the dam line, we even detect Olympic performance blood. And then we are talking about Gunder van de Pereboom who participated at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Other top performers belonging to this BWP dam line 94 include Nauwsika, Othello and Hermes van de Pereboom, as well as the international eventers Dynamiet and Comeet van de Pereboom. The approved BWP stallion Offecier van de Pereboom and BWP elite dam Piroschka VD Pereboom also make part of this successful lineage.
