Thanks to the BWP Online Foal Auction you can buy a champion foal from the 5* performer Utamaro d’Ecaussines, crossed with a valuable Holstein breeding family. We are talking about Amigo VD Bokke who was crowned champion in the series of older colts in Pittem. His sire was a star in top sports. A selection of Utamaro’s rich list of achievements: victory in the 5* World Cups in La Baule, St. Gallen and Rotterdam, winner of the 5* World Cup in London, winner of the 3* Lummen GP and 2nd in the 4* Liverpool GP. That can’t be a coincidence! His long career at the highest level underlines not only his exceptional showjumping qualities, but also his health. In 2021 he became available for breeding for the first time.
The dam of Amigo VD Bokke, Bonita V.D. Bokke, belongs to the Holstein breeding family 4705, this is the lineage of, amongst others, Catoki and Levantos I and II. Bonita’s oldest ‘VD Bokke’-product, Rocky Star VD Bokke, competed at international showjumping classes for 5-year-olds last year. His full sister Vienna VD Bokke was sold in 2021 during the BWP Online Foal Auction. Bonita’s granddam, Inka VI, produced two performers out of the international 1m60 circuit, namely Chiron S (5*, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson) and Castros (4*, Meredith Ellis). Amigo’s half-sister Willemien V.D. Bokke was the most expensive foal of the BWP Online Foal Auction and was sold to the United States. Curious who will be the new owner of Amigo VD Bokke.
