PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS

Akina Van De Moortelshoeve makes part of the first vintage of Tartufo de Muze. Shortly after Tartufo’s approval at BWP, Christophe De Brabander stated: ‘Tartufo is a complete stallion with a lot of charisma in every respect. After the second phase I rode him for a while. He is very easy to ride, nicely balanced. He jumps well and cooperates well. He is not only a complete stallion, but also a complete showjumper. I firmly believe in him. His pedigree is also very interesting: Chacco-Blue x Heartbreaker.’ In addition to Tartufo, Azuela de Muze produced two other approved stallions (Uelo and Royalo de Muze), as well as the international showjumpers Felini de la Pomme (4*, Regis Bouguennec) and Vedet de Muze (5*, Joe Clee). Tartufo does not deny his origins: this year he was clear in several heats and the final of the stallion competition for four-year-olds.

In Akina’s dam line we find a good dose of performance blood. Akina’s granddam, Miami Van De Moortelshoeve, performed at international 1m45 level. Miami is a full sister to the AES approved stallion Nero Van De Moortelshoeve. Nero was crowned ex aequo champion of the 4-year-olds during the 2017 Belgian Championship in Gesves. Wokina Van De Moortelshoeve, the granddam of Nero and Miami, produced the Quasimodo VD Molendreef daughter Daiquiri Van De Moortelshoeve. Daiquiri is the icing on the cake. She won for instance the 2* GP in Lummen, ranked 3rd in a 1m40 class in Mechelen (5*) and 5th in the 2* GP in Ghent. Her 8-year-old AES approved son Ecuador DW performs at 4* 1m45 level under the saddle of Thomas De Wit. Good blood never lies!

Akina is a beautiful type. Her trot and canter are sufficient spacious.
