PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS

Ermitage Kalone, Abra Van De Brandkreek’s sire, is working towards a successful career in top sport. At the age of 8, Ermitage Kalone already made his international five-star debut. This year he performed several times in for instance Vejer de la Frontera (4*, 1m45 to 1m55 level) and Moerzeke (4*, 1m50 level). In almost every showjumping class he participated in, he left the arena with a clear round. As a breeding stallion, he has also given his business card several times. In 2021, for example, his daughter Valkyrie JM became champion at the BWP national Elite foal championship and his son Sunday JM was honoured as 1st reserve champion at the BWP stallion selection. This year his son Ultra Star JM was crowned BWP champion stallion in the option showjumping.

Abra’s dam, Nemmet Van De Brandkreek, is by Nonstop, a stallion that is highly regarded as a supplier of excellent showjumpers. Karaat Van De Brandkreek, a half-brother to Nemmet, was sold as a foal during the Horseman Elite Auction and is now achieving good results in the showjumping world. Winde, the dam of Nemmet and Karaat, is a half-sister to Undercover Van De Brandkreek, who was crowned champion of the five-year-olds in Canada. Nemmet’s granddam is a half-sister to Saffier Van De Brandkreek, who jumped well in the international circuit under the saddle of the British rider Hannah Paul. Through his dam’s line, Abra makes part of the BWP dam line 70, the lineage of, amongst others, the BWP Elite stallion Basje (5*, Ian Millar), Kaddee Van De Knuffel (1m60 level), Dakata Van De Knuffel (1m55 level) and Dollar Van ’t Eigenlo (5*, Pilar Lucrecia Cordon).

Abra Van De Brandkreek has a strong trot, a good walk and an active canter.
