The sire of this embryo is a colourful appearance. We are talking about J-Nius V.V. He is by Little Indian out of U-Toppie V.V. (by Ugano Sitte). U-Toppie’s dam, N-Ergie V.V., jumped at 1m40 level and unites in her pedigree the progenitor Chacco-Blue (no. 2 in the WBFSH sire ranking) and the equally legendary broodmare Ligie (out of the famous Selle Français lineage 105, Ballerine III, by Rantzau xx). Ligie produced a series of international showjumpers, including Chou Chou of Colors, Chow-Chow of Colors, Calimero of Colors, Fidjy of Colors, Egie of Colors, Hope (BWP elite stallion), Kerbie V.V., Nikias Ligie V.V. and Copain de Muze.
Katoo van T&L, in combination with the late Iron Man van de Padenborre, produced the BWP approved stallion Ramonet BS. Her 6-year-old Bamako de Muze son Trimbach BS has already won two 1m15 classes in the USA, while her 5-year-old Warrior daughter Ursule BS will start her first course under the saddle of the Irish 5* rider Susan Fitzpatrick. Katoo is a half-sister to Nanton van T&L, with whom Monika Niederländer performs at 1m40 to 1m45 level. Katoo’s granddam, Nikita, is the icing on the cake. She is the dam of progenitor Toulon (BWP ambassador) and his full brother Vancouver d’Auvray (BWP elite stallion), as well as of the approved stallion Nanteuil van T&L. Nikita is a granddaughter of Loteusi (by Uppercut xx), a supple mare with good showjumping manners, who performed in LRV class Z and puissance competitions, in partnership with Walter Van Bunder. Loteusi is the foundation dam of BWP dam line 117, the lineage of a series of international showjumpers, including Bambino and Citta van ’t Zorgvliet, Cyclade du Barbin, Deauville and Flobecq de la Vie, Gaverdi van de Begijnakker, Haldor and Impuls VD Heffinck, Jabab Des Valces, Jade VD Heffinck, Philemon van T&L, Toulon and Vancouver d’Auvray.
