The sire of the embryo, BWP ambassador Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, dominated the international top-level showjumping scene for years. He claimed victories in team competitions, 5* Grands Prix and took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also makes his mark as a progenitor. He is known as the sire of illustrious showjumpers, such as Igor (team gold and individual bronze at the European Championship in Rotterdam 2019, Jos Verlooy), 5* GP winner Imerald van ’t Voorhof, Kasper van het Hellehof (5*, McLain Ward), Mandato van de Neerheide (5*, Christian Ahlmann) and Nice van ’t Zorgvliet (5*, Christian Kukuk). Emerald occupies 13th place in the WBFSH sire ranking.
Kirby de Muze, the dam of the embryo, was successful in international showjumping. In partnership with Marit Haarr Skollerud, she became 2nd in the Derby in Drammen, 7th in a 1m45 class in Saint-Tropez and 10th in a 5* 1m40 class in Oslo. She is a full sister to a series of international performers, including Nimrod de Muze (5*, 1m60 level, Pedro Veniss), Morfine de Muze (5*, 1m60 level, Rik Hemeryck), Kokaine van Eeckelgem (5*, 1m45 level, Rachel Cornacchia) and Kigali vd Bisschop (1m45 level). Kirby is also a half-sister to the BWP elite stallion Levis de Muze (who has excelled for years at 1m60 level in the 5* circuit under the saddle of Ioli Mytilineou), Kitona de Muze (1m60 level), Litchi de la Linière (1m45 level and dam of the BWP approved stallions Risk de la Linière and Reborn de Muze) and the BWP approved stallion Nesquick de la Linière. Their dam, Heroine de Muze, was particularly successful in the 5* circuit (1m60 level) and is a great-granddaughter of the legendary Qerly Chin. What a breeding family! Success guaranteed.
